Shawn D. Meade, Esq.
While serving a Spanish speaking mission for the LDS church, Shawn gained a unique understanding of the challenges and opportunities that immigrants face in the United States. Shawn graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelors in Latin American Studies. Shawn met his spouse while at Brigham Young University and enjoys spending his free time with her.
After graduating from the BYU, Shawn was accepted to law school at the University of Denver with an academic scholarship. Defending immigrant rights was a natural fit and after only six months in school Shawn began working with an immigration lawyer in Denver. Read more.
John E. Pearce, Esq.
John is a member of the Kansas Bar and received his Juris Doctor from Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, Kansas. While at Washburn John was an intern in the family law and immigration law clinics. Originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, John received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Utah in Spanish with an emphasis in literature.
While serving a religious mission, John spent several years living in cities on the Mexican/US border. There he saw firsthand the difficulties and challenges facing immigrants and their families. These experiences continue to fuel John’s passion for serving the immigrant community. Read more.
Denis da Silva, Esq.
Denis is a member of the Arizona bar and is a graduate of Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. He also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems from Arizona State University, where he earned magna cum laude honors. Denis focuses his practice on immigration law, criminal/DUI defense, and personal injury law, with extensive experience litigating removal cases.
Denis was born in Curitiba, Brazil and immigrated to the United States as a child. He has lived in Mexico City, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Phoenix prior to relocating to Colorado. Denis is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. Read More.
Smarika Thapa Kunwar, Esq.
Smarika is a member of the Colorado Bar Association. She received her Juris Doctor degree from William Mitchell College of Law, in St. Paul, MN, where she interned with her law school’s Immigration Clinic assisting clients with Asylum and Removal cases. After having been educated in her homeland of Nepal, and India, Smarika completed her Undergraduate studies from the University of Colorado, at Boulder, majoring in Psychology, and minoring in Political Science.
Having immigrated to the United States while a high school student, Smarika witnessed first-hand, the challenges that immigrants face in this country in navigating through our complex immigration system. Zach Young, Esq.
Zach Young is a member of the Utah bar. He received his Juris Doctor from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Technology Management from Utah Valley University, where he graduated summa cum laude.
Zach knew he wanted to help people with their immigration needs and family situations during law school, where he was an intern in the family law and immigration law clinics. There he discovered the true impact a good advocate can have on individuals and their families. Read more.
Nalini is the office manager at MyRights Immigration Law Firm and helps ensure that all clients receive the attention and care they deserve. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in marketing and advertising at Brigham Young University and then graduated from the University of Denver with a master’s degree in Global Affairs with a specialization in Translation.
Nalini has years of experience in customer service and quality control in a variety of professional positions. She began working with Shawn D. Meade, Esq. in 2006 when he was a partner at another firm and transitioned to MyRights Immigration Law Firm when it opened. Nalini has seen the immigration process first hand and understands the Hispanic community.

Having a paralegal assigned to your case facilitates communication with the office as clients receive consistent updates and are able to call the office or come to the office without an appointment and always receive necessary attention.
