Shawn D. Meade, Esq.
Shawn graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelors in Latin American Studies. He immediately continued his studies and was awarded with an academic scholarship to go to Law School at the University of Denver and he finished a Law Doctored Degree in 2007.
When Shawn was going to college he decided to put 2 years aside from college and from 2001-2013 he served a voluntary and humanitarian LDS Mission where he learned Spanish in the hispanic community. During that time, he gained a unique understanding of the challenges and opportunities that immigrants face in The United States. John E. Pearce, Esq.
John is a member of the Kansas Bar and received his Juris Doctor from Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, Kansas. While at Washburn John was an intern in the family law and immigration law clinics. Originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, John received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Utah in Spanish with an emphasis in literature.
While serving a religious mission, John spent several years living in cities on the Mexican/US border. There he saw firsthand the difficulties and challenges facing immigrants and their families. These experiences continue to fuel John’s passion for serving the immigrant community. Read more.
Denis da Silva, Esq.
Denis is a member of the Arizona bar and is a graduate of Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. He also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems from Arizona State University, where he earned magna cum laude honors. Denis focuses his practice on immigration law, criminal/DUI defense, and personal injury law, with extensive experience litigating removal cases.
Denis was born in Curitiba, Brazil and immigrated to the United States as a child. He has lived in Mexico City, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Phoenix prior to relocating to Colorado. Denis is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. Read More.
Smarika Thapa Kunwar, Esq.
Smarika is a member of the Colorado Bar Association. She received her Juris Doctor degree from William Mitchell College of Law, in St. Paul, MN, where she interned with her law school’s Immigration Clinic assisting clients with Asylum and Removal cases. After having been educated in her homeland of Nepal, and India, Smarika completed her Undergraduate studies from the University of Colorado, at Boulder, majoring in Psychology, and minoring in Political Science.
Having immigrated to the United States while a high school student, Smarika witnessed first-hand, the challenges that immigrants face in this country in navigating through our complex immigration system. Zach Young, Esq.
Zach Young is a member of the Utah bar. He received his Juris Doctor from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Technology Management from Utah Valley University, where he graduated summa cum laude.
Zach knew he wanted to help people with their immigration needs and family situations during law school, where he was an intern in the family law and immigration law clinics. There he discovered the true impact a good advocate can have on individuals and their families. Read more.
Nalini is the Office Manager at MyRights Immigration Law Firm. She obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Advertising at Brigham Young University in Utah and then she moved to Colorado where she graduated from the University of Denver with a Master’s Degree in Global Affairs.
Nalini is in charge of managing the Law Firm, she does part of the training and she supervises all of our front desk personnel and Paralegal staff members to ensure office procedures are followed.
Nalini has seen the immigration process first hand as she has navigated through it. She also uses her knowledge and experience in customer service to oversee the satisfaction of our clients at MyRights Immigration Law Firm.
Together with attorney Shawn Meade, they have been able to create a place where results, process, customer service and the outreach to the community are all equally important. She is an essential part of the law firm.

Every case at MyRights Immigration Law Firm is assigned to one of our attorneys and one of our professional paralegals. Having a paralegal assigned to your case facilitates communication with the office as clients receive consistent updates and are able to call the office or come to the office without an appointment and always receive necessary attention.
Paralegals cannot give legal advise, even if your case is being supervised by one of our attorneys. Questions that require assistance from one of our attorneys will be directed to the assigned attorney.
